Overview
Air to Ground (A2G) is a new connection solution. It aims to provide airplane passengers with better internet connection.
It will allow users to enjoy high quality video streaming (up to 4K), web browsing, and social media usage (in real-time).
How it works?
With A2G, airplanes source of connection is on-ground towers (unlike Satellites where the source of connection is from space).
Airplanes are equipped with a terminal to receive the Wi-Fi connection signals from the towers.
The towers are deployed along the flight route to facilitate switching the received Wi-Fi signals from one tower to the other; in order to ensure seamless internet connection for passengers.

Previously, the only source of airplane connection was satellites (Air-to-Air).
